Can you recommend a Vietnamese restaurant with good Pho Bo or Bun Bo Nam Bo?

Answers:

  • I think it’s hard to find… they don’t have any “real” Vietnamese restaurants in Estonia.
  • We had Pho Chai in NOP before, but we only have Vietnamese salad with duck, Vietnamese rolls, Japanese miso soup.
  • Tai Boh or Taste of Asia
  • Noodle Box in Telliskivi probably has the nearest things to what you are looking for.
  • There is one good Vietnamese restaurant, called Vietnami Salv
  • Krua isn’t bad. They have Thai chefs, at least when I went.
  • Had very good and authentic Chinese at Dao Hua tucked behind a building between Stockman and Keskturg. Have been 3 times and always a great experience. Chinese owned and operated. Haven’t been in a bit though, hopefully it hasn’t changed.
  • I go to Riis for Pho. It’s pretty good. Not as good as my mom’s, but I am happy to go there whenever I crave Pho.¬† Just don’t have high expectations.
  • True story – last summer in Tallinn I met a guy from Hong Kong. He told me that when he wanted a “taste of home” he said the Hong Noodles at Nimeta Bar was like the real thing. That was a shock. The chefs there are Indian so I guess it shouldn’t be too surprising. If you want some Pho Bo or Bun Bo Nam Bo, go there some afternoon and talk to the chef. Maybe they know how to make it, maybe they have no clue. But it doesn’t hurt to ask.
  • There is no decent Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Mongolian, Indonesian, Malay, Filipino food in Estonia unfortunately‚Ķ but you could probably find the ingredients and make it yourself.
